A quality mattress is an investment in your health. To maintain its orthopedic properties and extend its lifespan, periodic care is essential.
Practical Tips to Extend the Life of Your Mattress

Here are a few simple but highly effective rules that will help you enjoy the comfort of your mattress for many years to come:
1. Match with the Bed Base
Ensure that the mattress and the bed base (slats) have identical dimensions. If the support is not fixed, the mattress will shift and suffer structural damage in a very short time.
2. Proper Ventilation
Air out the bedroom daily. Periodically (a few hours per week), leave the mattress without linens to allow for the elimination of moisture accumulated during the night.
3. Periodic Vacuuming
Vacuum the mattress on both sides 3-4 times a year. This method drastically reduces dust accumulation and the appearance of dust mites that can cause allergies.
4. Flipping Sides
During the first month, flip the mattress 2-3 times so the structure settles evenly. Afterward, flipping it once every 6 months is sufficient.
5. Rotation Calendar (Head-to-Toe)
For uniform wear, rotate the mattress according to this seasonal plan:
- Autumn:
Winter side up - Winter:
Rotate (head-to-toe) - Spring:
Summer side up - Summer:
Rotate (head-to-toe)
6. Use a Protective Cover
A removable mattress protector is the simplest way to protect your mattress from bacteria and dirt. It is much easier to wash a cover than to clean the entire mattress!
